No surprises in the boy's races Sandles (Golden Valley) won in a time of 16:26 and Liberty won both team races as expected. Liberty was lead by Kevin Shotts (16:52) and Garces was lead by Conner O'Malley in a time of 16:45.Liberty 25, Garces 31

The girl's race was much different, Garces came into the meet with a 3 - 1 record and looked to be having one of it's best seasons in recent memory. They barely lost to BHS earlier in the year and have looked good all season long but today things fell apart.
I had heard that the team has been hit hard by the flu and I assume that this was the case today. I heard their leader Guzman dropped out at the mile and the team not only lost to Liberty but Golden Valley beat them too.
Liberty was lead by Ashley Barton who won the 3 mile race in a time of 19:58
