The Drillers were the top Kern Girl's team with a team average time of 21:42. They were lead by the fastest
Kern girl of the day, Sarah Baker (Jr) who ran 20:03 despite not feeling well throughout the rest. They next best
Kern girl was Stockdale freshman 20:20 over the 5k course.

McFarland won the small school's division race. Stockdale boy's become the first Bakersfield boys team to
break 85 minutes at Woodward park in recent memory! That is sub 17 minute 5ks per man average! Curtis
Kelly (So) lead them with a 16:17 over the 5k course. The next best Kern boy was freshman Erick Garcia of
Mcfarland who ran 16:32.

So far this year, only Ridgeview, Stockdale and Shafter have competed on the Woodward Park 5k course. This
is where the valley and state meet are held.
