  1. A race report from a fan:

Very close race for the girls last night. Came down to the last 1600 relay.Drillers got 2nd and third, Liberty girls won. Sarah Baker (Driller) won the 1600 (5:31), 800 (2:30), 3200 (12:31). A good mile race for Ashley Barton (Liberty), coming in second ahead of the two Garcia girls from East, Lucy and Sophie.

  2. last year the girls team competition came down to the 1600 relay as well and bhs won it. later my photos of the last exchange caused quite a stir when it showed sinead stepping off the track and then getting back on it to hand the baton to brushay.

no one saw it when it happen and bhs didnt get an advantage so no harm no foul. but then liberty won the league meet and then it mattered.

in the end liberty came in second because they won the league meet but came in third in duals. bhs came in second at the league meet and first in duals and became seyl champ.

this 1600 drama spilled over in 2007 when the boys team competition came down to the 1600 and it was declared a tie and liberty won the meet.

this is the last year of the seyl as we know it so who knows how it will end.
